Even though I don't necessarily put a lot of stock in the big guy upstairs, I find myself asking him for hail every time a storm swings through, I want a new roof!
All is okay. Our house didn't get hit, but we were the neighborhood they kept showing on the national news whose power line poles looked like a spilled pencil cup. Missed us by about 300 yards. But, the power company has been out working ever since, and they periodically sever the phone, cable, internet, power (oddly enough), and whatever other lines they encounter, so it's been a trip.
Okay...sorry to post a bunch in one day, but I just read this AFTER I asked you all the details in my last post...so pls dsrgrd.
WOW!! Do you know how much I enjoy storm chasing?! I drive a lot for work and the closest I've come is having one form OVER me on my way back from Tahlequah, but to have one hit 300 yards away?! I'm jealous...now that I think of it, you were in the library when the F5 hit and you missed the whole thing then...please tell me you got to pull a classic Oklahoman and went outside and taped it or at least yelled at it and threw beer bottles at it?!
